Your responsibilities:

  • Exploratory data analysis alongside AML specialists, to provide insights and support decision-making for the transaction monitoring activities
  • Deliver advanced analytics products from design to production together with a multi-disciplinary team (AML experts, machine learning engineers, data engineers, etc.)
  • You work across multiple disciplines and teams
  • Closely collaborate with AML Experts and public parties to translate the money laundering methods into analytical models using Python, SQL & Spark in AWS Sagemaker
  • Compile, analyse and assess data on the performance of the models and report on the findings
  • Work alongside technical teams to ensure the data meets required standards
  • Build dashboards to monitor deliveries and results

Job requirements

  • Min 5 years of relevant work experience in the AML transaction monitoring area, gained from within a financial services institution like a bank
  • Experience in working across teams
  • Deep data analysis with Python (Pyspark, Pandas) and SQL
  • Data visualisation skills using AWS Quicksight, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Business Analyst skills
  • A desire to build collectively a purpose-driven company with a relaxed, constructive attitude
  • A proven ability to think in solutions complemented by an applied growth mindset
  • Experience in conducting requirements gathering sessions and refining and documenting data requirements
  • You currently live in the Netherlands or EU

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AWS tools (Sagemaker, Glue, etc.)
  • A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in working in an Agile environment
  • Relevant track record of working in the area of KYC/AML and thorough understanding of the current market and regulatory conditions and challenges that the financial industry is facing
  • A certification with a focus on FEC/KYC/AML
