Security Engineer

Job description

Transaction Monitoring Netherlands (TMNL) is looking for a DevSecOps specialist who has a knack for blue teaming.  Your day as an AWS Security Engineer will include the following:

  • Developing, implementing and testing security policies and procedures for the AWS environment in accordance with industry standards and relevant regulations (GDPR)
  • Configuring and managing AWS services and being at the forefront of any exploits discovered, e.g., AppSync and ECR
  • Monitoring and analysing security logs to identify potential security threats and responding to security incidents as needed
  • Collaborating with the security and risk teams to ensure that the AWS environment and managed services are configured correctly to meet compliance requirements (SOC2T2)
  • Analyse external security assessments (red teaming) and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks and implement measures to address these issues
  • Providing guidance and support to other teams on security best practices and compliance requirements

Job requirements

An AWS Security Engineer who really likes to think out-of-the box would be a vital member to TMNL’s Platform team. Helping to ensure that the AWS environment and managed services are secure and compliant against outside threats while we try to change the world.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Security Engineer
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Python
  • Minimum 3 years of experience Architecting on AWS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a code (Terraform)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Codepipeline)
  • Experience with Docker and EKS
  • Experience with SOC2 compliance
  • Experience with blue teaming
  • Currently living in NL or EU
