Full Stack Engineer

Job description

Would you like to use your full stack talents & expertise to make the world a safer and better place? And would you like to contribute to digital product development from its very start ?
As a Full Stack Engineer you build a Digital Channel at Transaction Monitoring Netherlands (TMNL) that offers a controlled web environment to financial institutions, multiple Dutch banks for the faster, more accurate and world first collaborative fight against financial crime. Our new Digital Channel aims to give users, external bank employees, a unique interactive experience by providing valuable information and awesome visualization about the anti-money laundering alerts generated by TMNL's core systems, using advanced analytics. This initiative makes our digital channel unique as it is a tool used by multiple banks to collaborate.
The challenge we must solve is to make the alert information intuitive and accurate so that it leads to more positive handlings of alerts. We prefer to design it in a process-oriented manner, where we aim to develop the channel into a one-stop-shop for all information related to alert handling and collaboration. As this channel acts as a junction between TMNL and banks, it has the potential to develop into a product that in the future might support machine-to-machine (API) interfaces in addition to user (graphical) interfaces. This ambition wouldn’t exist without skilled developers and engineers using their talents and expertise to get this executed.

Job requirements

  • You feel confident to contribute to driving the digital channel architecture and delivering it
  • You are up to date on the latest front end & backend technologies
  • You are enthusiastic to share your ideas to create the innovative solutions. Furthermore, you constantly look to push the boundaries of new possibilities and do not hesitate to learn new technology and use them
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend technology like JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Angular
  • Responsive web design using HTML, CSS
  • 5+ years of experience in backend technology like Java, Spring Framework, rest APIs
  • Experience on any public cloud (preferable AWS)
  • Knowledge of modern data engineering and Business Intelligence concepts are a highly welcomed
  • Advanced with CI/CD tooling
  • Strong problem-solving skills within a collaborative environment
  • Have experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient systems
  • Experience in working DevOps
  • Familiar with Agile and Scrum
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing) in English
  • You live in the Netherlands or EU
